DESCRIPTION: Yugoslavian has the reputation of being the soldier among BC’s Porcelains. It is an heirloom variety from the Okanagan and Kootenay region. The variety is very hardy and well recognized by connoisseurs of fine hardneck garlic everywhere. Its thick tough reddish wrapper makes it excellent for storing. The cloves tend to be brownish and it is quite common to see double cloves. The variety is harvested mid-season. This garlic has a pungent garlic aroma and a strong, hot spicy taste that fades to sweet in the mouth. It holds up well with long cooking times.
